MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of Chief of Private Sector Fundraising the incumbent is responsible for recruiting and retaining individual donors via digital techniques including SEM (Search Engine Marketing), SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), Social Media Marketing, email marketing and SMS amongst others so as to maximise funds in support of the GOI-UNICEF Indonesia Country Programme.
  1. Under the supervision of the Chief Private Sector Fundraising, specialists in the Regional Office and Headquarters and the Digital Communication Officer in the Indonesia country office, contribute to raising revenues and growing income via digital channels through effective digital donor acquisition, retention and upgrade plans.
  2. Undertake the implementation of digital fundraising plans (Web, Mobile and SMS) on a day to day basis, in a timely and efficient manner. This includes continuous monitoring and devising ways to improve performance.
  3. Manage digital agencies, monitor performance and ensure that activities are on track and in line with the UNICEF strategy and as per established quality standards. Work with agencies/contractors, suppliers and relevant personnel within or outside the office to develop and implement digital activities i.e. SEM/SEO, email marketing, analytics, social media marketing, microsite and webpages (landing pages) improvements, and SMS fundraising, for acquisition, retention and upgrade campaigns.
  4. Assist in roll-out of digital fundraising campaigns (Web and SMS) during emergencies identified by the office for raising funds.
  5. Work with other colleagues in the Private Fundraising team to integrate digital fundraising with other channels of fundraising.
  6. Prepare data, information, analytical reports and presentations on content, response, income and return of investment for various digital fundraising campaigns.
  7. Under the guidance of the supervisor contribute to the selection and independent management of all external partners as needed for acquisition of individual donors.
  8. While major decisions are made by the supervisor, the s/m will work under supervision but will be given flexibility in seizing opportunities for developing effective fund and other resource mobilization. Keep up to date with digital best practice in UNICEF and in the digital work and make sure relevant best practice where applicable to UNICEF is initiated.
PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Bachelor Degree (Advanced university degree highly desirable) and relevant professional qualifications or additional years of equivalent background in Business Administration, Marketing, management or Communications or related subject.
  • At least two (2) to three (3) years professional experience in the relevant field or in business development and management with particular focus on fundraising / marketing / communication activities.
  • Management of fund raising activities among private sector organizations/ companies/ individuals, through social marketing and advocacy/ information/ communication techniques and current knowledge of market research methods is an asset.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial skills are desirable.
  • Experience in the working within business and private sector, UN and/ or other international development organization is an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (oral and written) is required.
