BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
This position is one of three FSN-7 Consular Assistant positions in a full service Consular Section. Although primary day to day job focus is on the provision on Non Immigrant Visa (NIV) services, incumbent is regularly called upon to perform ACS/SCS and other consular duties. S/he is also member of the Fraud Prevention Team and is expected to be able to assist in the identification of potential fraud. S/he is expected to provide full range Consular services
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item
- Two years college level education is required
- Two years of progressively responsible experience involving administrative, applications of regulatory material and customer service is required
- Level 4 (fluent) speaking/reading/writing in English and in Bahasa Indonesia are required. Language proficiency will be tested. If you have taken a TOEIC or TOEFL test administered by ETS within 6 months, please attach the certificate
- Understand basic principals of customer service and business correspondence Standard knowledge about the local culture and government organization is required. A working knowledge on nonimmigrant visa regulations, ACS, and consular processing procedures is required
- Required to be able to operate MS windows applications. Must be able to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with members of the public, as well as within and without the Consular section. Must be able to draft correspondent in English and Indonesian. Utilize proprietary Consular software and equipment
