Do you have a flair for communication, journalism and most importantly press handling? If so, the new short-term position as the Embassy of Denmark’s new press officer may just be the job for you. The Embassy of Denmark is preparing a very important high level visit that will boost bilateral relations and is looking for reinforcement to successfully handle the task at hand. The Embassy’s press officer will work to disseminate knowledge about Denmark in Indonesia and thereby contribute to strengthening the strong bilateral relationship between Denmark and Indonesia. Please note that the contract is short-term, 20 hours per week, starting from 1 August 2015 for the duration of three months and is 20 hours per week.

Based in Bali, but reporting to the Consul in Jakarta, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing Consular assistance and notarial services to British nationals in Bali and Lombok.

  • Operational management of the Consulate; line managing two consular assistants; managing the daily consular workload, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of consular services in Bali and Lombok 

(LE5) Fisheries Program and Media Officer - Jakarta

Applications are invited for the above position in the Department of Agriculture at the Australian Embassy, Jakarta. The position is a full-time fixed term position with an immediate commencement date required.

The duties of the position and selection criteria are listed below. The successful applicant must meet the selection criteria as detailed below. Applicants should ensure their application includes comments on how they meet each selection criteria and should be no longer than three (3) typed A4 pages.

A monthly salary in the amount of IDR 18,330,311 will be offered to the successful applicant dependent upon qualifications, relevant experience and demonstrated skills.

  • Oversee and coordinate communications and outreach activities for the programme in Indonesia, in order to raise awareness of the programme across a wide range of stakeholders and audiences, and promote the participation and engagement in the programme to a range of stake-holders, including small-holders, private sector actors, international and local civil society organisations and multi-level governmental bodies
  • Develop the communication and dissemination plan and, in association with the partners, manage and implement the communications and outreach strategy in Indonesia, with a special focus on the improvement of the ISPO standard
  • Organise and participate in events to highlight the programme and market opportunities
